GIP - CAFOC

Academic in-service training center for adults – CAFOC Aix Marseille (Ministry of Education)

The CAFOC addresses all training actors. To meet the needs of services of the human resources of different types of organizations, the CAFOC Aix Marseille proposes a set of provisions of advisory services and customized engineering:

- Engineering and advice in training (elaboration, evaluation of devices of training),
- Engineering and advice in pedagogy (organized, animation of training initiatives)
- Engineering and management consulting of skills (job analysis with the aim of the transmission of professional skills, study of skills reference guides, evaluation of skills),
- Engineering of international projects (Leonardo, Equal...)

The CAFOC addresses companies (private and public sectors) as well as training centers (among which the Greta who are training centers dependent on the Ministry of Education) to support their staffs in the development of their skills.

Examples of European projects in skills development in companies in which the CAFOC was involved with training organizations and private or public companies:

2003-2005 / Equal project OSMOSE - Skills transmission between generations; 2006-2008 / Leonardo project FORSIMPAD – Implicit knowledge formalisation and transfer with didactic professional approach (the CAFOC was project manager); 2007-2009 / Leonardo project METALCERT – Skills evaluation and certification in metal sector; 2008-2009 / Leonardo project COMPETENCES + - Skills valorisation in “services at home” sector; 2008-2010 / Leonardo project AU-DELA DE LA SALLE – Skills transmission between senior and junior in the shoe sector (transfer of OSMOSE project); 2008-2010 / Leonardo project KIMET - skills transmission between senior and junior in the metal sector (transfer of FORSIMPAD project).
